The British Invasion Years hit another high note with a completely sold-out show at the Ponce De Leon Center. If you were hoping to grab a seat for tonight, you’re officially out of luck. But don’t worry, there’s still a second chance: the next performance is set for Friday, October 10th. Judging by how fast these tickets disappeared, it might not stay available for long.
A 60s Celebration That Hits All the Right Notes
This isn’t just another Beatles tribute, it’s a full-on throwback to the entire first wave of British Invasion music. From The Zombies and Dave Clark Five to The Rolling Stones and The Who, the setlist covers it all. And yes, of course, The Beatles are in the spotlight too.
Bobby M, the band’s bassist and vocalist, sums it up well: “Thanks to platforms like iTunes, Spotify, and all the movie and TV soundtracks using these songs lately, we’ve got fans of every age showing up.”
Meet the Band Behind the Buzz
Bobby M and guitarist Lee Scott Howard trace their musical roots back to one iconic moment: The Beatles’ Ed Sullivan Show debut. That spark eventually led them to form this project, aiming to recreate the sounds they grew up on, right down to the outfits and visuals.
Keyboardist/guitarist Jon Wolf joined after sneakily playing Abbey Road medleys during sessions (smart move), and drummer Dave Hall rounded out the crew soon after. With the full lineup in place, The British Invasion Years officially launched their own musical takeover.
Early Buyers in a Great Spot
With shows selling out like this, those who grabbed tickets early are likely feeling pretty confident right now. The buzz around this performance isn’t fading anytime soon, and if you’re thinking about Friday’s show, it might be time to move fast.
